Brothers, parents, family, and friends of Pi Kappa Phi,
The Alpha Phi Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi has called the 3333 S. Wabash home since the
fall of 1961. Over that time, hundreds of undergraduate and alumni brothers have lived
there, studied there, socialized there, or came together to gather for brotherhood
reunions time and time again.
In 2007 The Alpha Phi chapter created the IIT- Pi Kappa Phi Capital Fund. Gifts to this
fund assist the chapter with the cost of the major renovations and repairs of the
structure over time.
100% of gifts to this fund are tax-deductible, being made through IIT, but are
restricted to the maintenance or upgrades of the Pi Kappa Phi house. All distribution of
funds is overseen by the Alumni board.
Since the inception of the Pi Kappa Phi Capital Fund, alumni and undergraduates have
been able to fund several major and minor repairs to the house.
Some recent significant investments made into the house:
2016: $57,000 upgrade to the electrical infrastructure of the house
2019: $20,000 repair to the plumbing in the boiler room (pending)
Alumni, parent, friends, and undergraduate members continue to support this fund
during IIT’s annual giving day, but also have the opportunity to make a one-time or
recurring gift through this Pi Kappa Phi Giving page.
It’s now about how much we each can give, but that we do it together.
Nothing Shall Ever Tear Us Asunder
Fraternally,
Alumni Board
